Affordable testing
For only Dh50 per test, UAE residents are allowed to enter Abu Dhabi by showing their results within 48 hours.
The same applies for Abu Dhabi residents as they are allowed to leave using their private vehicles and re-enter the emirate.
However, authorities warn that those whose results show that they need to do a PCR test should prepare an extra Dh320 as they will be required to do the swab test on the spot.
“In case the DPI testing showed a necessity to conduct a PCR test, the patient will have to be subjected to it at the same centre for Dh320,” said authorities.
The person will then be advised to go under quarantine at her/his home until results are available.
Screening process
– Book an appointment through the SEHA Smart application or through the websites of the non-SEHA managed facility.
– Once confirmed, present your Emirates ID on the date of your appointment at the testing facility together with the QR code you received for your booking.
– Individuals who test negative will be given results and will be allowed to leave and re-enter Abu Dhabi within a 48-hour time frame.
– Individuals whose tests show the need for further examinations will be asked to conduct a PCR test onsite for Dh320.
Authorities state that the testing is only available for adults and children aged 12 years and above.
Individuals can set appointments through the SEHA smart app. Families for a maximum of five individuals including domestic workers can also avail of the appointment.
