A Filipino expatriate in Abu Dhabi is celebrating a major milestone after winning in the Big Win contest of Big Ticket Abu Dhabi following years of joining draws alongside a group of fellow Filipinos in the UAE.
Joeben Aquino, 43, a customer service representative from Deparo, Caloocan City in the Philippines, said he has been participating in Big Ticket since 2019 together with 20 other group members who regularly share the cost of tickets.
“We are 21 members sharing and helping each other buy tickets because we all dream of winning someday and giving our families a better future,” Aquino said.
Aquino, who has lived in the UAE for 13 years, said he first learned about Big Ticket through social media and recommendations from fellow Filipinos and friends in the country.
“When I found out that I’m really selected in the Big Win contest game of Big Ticket, I felt extremely happy, emotional, and thankful,” Aquino said.
He also encouraged fellow Filipinos to stay hopeful while participating responsibly.
“To my fellow Filipinos, never lose hope and always stay positive. If you want to try, make sure to play responsibly and only spend what you can afford,” he said.
Big Ticket’s May promotion
Big Ticket’s May promotion will run until May 31, featuring a guaranteed AED20 million grand prize along with 25 guaranteed cash prize winners throughout the promotion period.
This includes five consolation prize winners: one winner of AED 1 million, one winner of AED 500,000, one winner of AED 250,000, and two winners of AED 100,000 each.
Participants will also be entered into the weekly e-draw, where four winners will take home AED 25,000 each, every week throughout May.
The promotion also features dream car giveaways, including a Range Rover Velar set to be drawn live on June 3, while the BMW X6 promotion will continue throughout May and June ahead of the July 3 live draw. Participants may enter the Dream Car promotion for AED150 per ticket.
Tickets may be purchased online through Big Ticket Abu Dhabi or at counters located in Zayed International Airport, Mohamed Bin Zayed City, Morafiq Mussafah, and Morafiq City Check-In in Al Ain. Participants have until May 31 to secure their entries for the upcoming draws.
