June 13: Dubai Filipino community marks 128th Philippine Independence Day with Kalayaan 2026 celebration

Filipino Social Club is set to lead the Kalayaan 2026 celebration on June 13, 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre as the Filipino community in the UAE marks the 128th Philippine Independence Day.

The event is expected to gather Filipinos from across the Emirates through a wide range of cultural, educational, sports, and community activities highlighting Filipino heritage, talent, and unity.

Among the featured programs are the Philippine Festivals Showdown, Philippine Chorale Festival, Drum and Lyre Parade, and the Filipino Community Unity Parade, which will showcase participation from Filipino schools, organizations, and community groups in the UAE.

Traditional Filipino attire and customs will also take the spotlight through the Barong and Filipiniana Kids Fashion Show and Sagala 2026, while community recognition programs such as Gawad Pinoy 2026 and Proud of UAE are also scheduled during the celebration.

Educational and innovation-focused activities are likewise part of the lineup, including robotics and innovation displays and mathematics competitions featuring Filipino students and participants.

The celebration will also feature family-oriented attractions and entertainment activities including Larong Pinoy games, perya attractions, and a Kalayaan concert.

Visitors can also explore the Pinoy Street Bazaar, regional delicacies display, and art exhibits showcasing Filipino food, products, and creativity.

Sports and wellness activities including bowling and football tournaments as well as free basic medical check-ups are also expected to form part of the Independence Day celebration.

Aside from the June 13 gathering, related Kalayaan 2026 activities are also scheduled across the UAE, including mall activations, a thanksgiving mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a Filipino gala night, and a Philippine flag display at Burj Khalifa.

The June 13 Kalayaan 2026 celebration at Dubai World Trade Center is open to the public with free admission.
