Bayanihan Council Abu Dhabi is set to hold Kalayaan 2026 on June 27, 2026 at Cleopatra Sports Academy as part of the 128th Philippine Independence Day celebration in Abu Dhabi.
The event will feature a lineup of cultural presentations, sports tournaments, performances, and community activities involving Filipino organizations, schools, artists, athletes, and volunteers across Abu Dhabi.
Organizers said the celebration aims to promote Filipino heritage, unity, and participation through activities that bring together different sectors of the Filipino community in the emirate.
Among the activities lined up ahead of the June 27 gathering are the Kalayaan Cup tournaments for volleyball, basketball, bowling, darts, and chess.
Cultural and creative activities will also form part of the celebration, including a Filipino cooking contest, Himig Pinoy competition, art exhibits, and cultural dance performances.
The event grounds will also feature the Kalayaan Market, sponsor booths, community service centers, and exhibitions showcasing Filipino businesses and participating organizations.
Stage presentations during the event will include youth performances, community recognition programs, live entertainment segments, and Mutya ng Kasarinlan Season 5.
