Travel guide publisher ‘Lonely Planet’ has recently named Palawan as one of this year’s Top 10 places to visit in Asia-Pacific for 2019.
Lonely Planet said that dramatic seascapes, wildlife-laden jungles, and El Nido’s skyscraping rock formations are some of the reasons why Palawan makes it on the list.
“Palawan has ridden a slew of media accolades to the cusp of international superstardom. Fortunately, it’s not there yet,” Lonely Planet said.
Palawan is at the 8th spot on Lonely Planet’s list.
Other places on the 2019 list are Shikoku in Japan, Bay of Islands and Northland in New Zealand, Singapore, the Cook Islands, Central Vietnam, Fiji, Beijing in China and Cambodia.
