Miss Universe Philippines undergoes organization revamp, no longer under Binibining Pilipinas

In what could be another shocking announcement after Miss Universe Philippines Gazini Ganados competed in the Miss Universe 2019, the national organization announced major leadership revamp.

In a Facebook post, the Miss Universe Organization expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the Araneta Group and Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. for their more than 50 years of partnership and taking care of the Miss Universe brand.

“The foundation and fundamentals of Philippine Pageantry are known worldwide to be solid and shall endure all because of the hard work and commitment of the Araneta Group and BPCI,” the statement said.

The Miss Universe Organization then announced that it will now be partnering with Miss Universe Philippines a ‘fresh team’ which will work hard to bring the best of Filipinas to the world.

“The new organization will be headed by Shamcey Supsup as the National Director. She will be joined by Albert Andrada as the Design Council Head, Jonas Gaffud as the Creative Director, Lia Ramos as Head of Women Empowerment Committee and Charity, Atty. Nad Bronce as Head of Legal Affairs, and Mario Garcia as Business Development/ Marketing Head,” the statement added.

The Miss Universe Philippines organization hopes to bring more honor to the country and bring the Miss U franchise to greater heights.

The organization is set to hold a press conference on December 13 to explain the changes in the Miss Universe franchise.

Binibining Pilipinas Charities has yet to issue their official statement.
