Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados has big shoes to fill after bagging the prestigious crown.

Ganados was crowned as Miss Universe Philippines 2019 and succeeds reigning Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.

The Cebuana beauty will be competing for the country’s fifth Miss Universe title and a back to back finish, a very rare event in the history of Miss Universe pageant.

But what did Gray told Ganados during her crowning moment?

“She just encouraged me that this will be the start, this will be a new beginning. I appreciate it,” Ganados said in an interview with ABS-CBN.

Ganados also vowed to train hard in order to make her country proud.

Miss Universe PH 2016 Maxine Medina also tried to win a back-to-back title but ended up 6th place during the 2016 pageant.
