Kapuso TV host Willie Revillame did not let an “It’s Showtime” contestant down, fulfilling his promise of buying him a camera drone.
It can be recalled that a “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” contestant said he wanted to give his son a camera drone as a birthday present.
This prompted hosts Vice Ganda and Mariel Rodriguez and judge Ogie Alcasid to call Revillame and ask for some financial help to grant the contestant’s wish.
After the episode aired, Alcasid said in a DZRH interview on Tuesday night that Revillame’s call was unexpected.
“Hindi naman planado iyon, eh,” he said as quoted by PEP.ph. “Kasi, tinanong yata ni Mariel o ni Vice kung sino ba ang may number ni Willie. It just so happened, ako lang iyong may number niya kasi kaibigan ko si Willie.”
“Nu’ng tinawagan ko siya, ‘Uy, puwede ba kita i-ere?’ Sabi niya, ‘Sige!’ E, di ‘yun na. Nakakatuwa naman,” Alcasid added.
Alcasid also said that Revillame has already bought a drone for the contestant and even had it delivered to him.
“Kanina, naipadala na niya,” Alcasid said. “He made it sure na makarating. So, nag-text siya sa akin, ‘O, ayan, napadala ko na.’ Nakaka-good vibes iyon, ‘di ba?”
