Willie Revillame to “It’s Showtime” hosts: “Dati kong time slot ‘yan”

It has been almost a decade since “It’s Showtime” has taken over ABS-CBN’s noon time slot but this is the first time former Kapamilya host Willie Revillame appeared on the said show.

It all started when a “Tawag Ng Tangahalan” contestant said he wanted to give his son a camera drone as a birthday present.

Hosts Vice Ganda and Mariel Rodriguez and judge Ogie Alcasid then called Revillame to ask for some financial help to grant the contestant’s wish.

Upon answering, Revillame quipped, “Vice, Ogie, ipaalaala mo lang na dati kong time slot ‘yan na kinuha niyo.”

It can be recalled that Revillame used to have a noontime variety game show on ABS-CBN titled “Wowowie” but it has since been replaced by “It’s Showtime”.

He has also transferred networks after his show on ABS-CBN was cancelled.

During their phone conversation, Revillame also asked if he could appear as a guest on “It’s Showtime”.

“Puwede ba akong mag-guest diyan?” Revillame asked to which Vice Ganda replied, “Ay, oo, Kuya Will! Ngayon din, halika na!”

Revillame responded by laughing, saying he was only joking since appearing on “It’s Showtime” might put his job with the rival network at risk.

“Hahahaha, huwag! Baka matanggal na naman ako. Lagi na lang akong natatanggal sa istasyon. Baka matanggal na naman ako,” he said.

Towards the end of the phone call, Revillame also agreed to grant the contestant’s request and give him a camera drone for his son.
