90s heartthrob Cogie Domingo makes showbiz comeback

Former actor and 90s heartthrob Cogie Domingo is returning to show business after about two years of not making any television appearances.

Domingo will be joining Coco Martin’s long-running primetime series “Ang Probinsyano”, wherein he will take the role of Eric Opeña, reported ABS-CBN News.

The actor’s role in the said show will be a policeman who is assigned to huntdown Renato Hipoloto, who is considered a threat to the country.

It can be recalled that Domingo said in an interview with PEP.ph last year that he is willing to have a cameo in “Ang Probinsyano”.

After a number of celebrities made their showbiz comeback through the said show, Domingo said back then that he would also be honored to join the cast of “Ang Probinsyano” since a lot of people watch it.

Domingo did not become active in showbiz over the past few years after he and two other persons were arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for possession of illegal drugs in October 2017.

He was allowed by PDEA to post bail and was released afterwards.

Domingo became popular in the 90s and early 200s after appearing on several films and television shows including “Deathrow”, “Click”, “Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin”, and “Kung Mawawala Ka”.
