Netizens created several fan arts imagining Angel Locsin as the new Filipina Marvel superhero Wave, and the Kapamilya actress approved it.
It can be recalled that Leinil Yu, the Filipino artist who co-created and designed the Pinay superhero, said that he is already considering Locsin to take over the role of Wave in case she will make an appearance in a Marvel film.
Locsin, however, had made it clear that she is done playing superheroes and that she not planning on accepting any offers to portray Wave on the big screen.
The Kapamilya actress is no stranger to playing superhero characters both in the movies and TV series. She was among the select few to play Darna.
But that did not stop her from gushing over artworks of her fans wherein she is seen donning Wave’s black, gold, and green ensemble.
Locsin shared some of the fan arts on her verified Facebook page.

Posted by Angel Locsin on Wednesday, March 20, 2019
Locsin earlier revealed her interest in knowing the said superhero who has Filipino roots.
“I’m excited to learn more about this character! I [love] that her weapon of choice is a Kampilan, which is believed to be the sword Lapu-Lapu used to strike down Ferdinand Magellan. So, [thumbs up] for that! Regarding her costume, I wonder what’s the inspiration behind the design?” she said on Twitter.
Wave will be among the new “Agents of Atlas” that will debut in May this year. She will be accompanied by other new Marvel superheroes such as Aero and Sword Master from China in the new series “War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas #1” set in Asia.
