Michele Gumabao bags 2 special awards, finishes in Top 15 of Miss Globe 2018

Michele Gumabao, the first Binibining Pilipinas 2018 queen to compete at the Miss Globe 2018 pageant, finished in the Top 15 of the competition, held in Albania on October 21 (early morning of October 22 in Manila).

Aside from her Top 15 finish, Gumabao also bagged two special awards, namely Miss Social Media and Miss Dream Girl of the World.

China’s representative Yu Yizhou won the title during the said pageant. Other winners include Montana Farrah Seaton of Australia, Perihan Koz of Turkey, Rosa Fariello of Italy, and Alba Bajrami of Albania, who were declared 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th runners up, respectively.

After the pageant, Gumabao took to Instagram to post a message dedicated to her family, friends, and fans.

“Going home to my country with this huge smile on my face! I’ve learned a lot being here for 2 weeks! I’ve always known that in life there are wins and there are losses, but God knows what’s best for us. I trust in Him to take me further.

“I gave my best and I know it was good enough because I had the whole Philippines believing in me! At the end of the day, it is what it is… I’m coming home! Volleyball naman ang labanan,” she captioned the photo.

The next Binibining Pilipinas queen who will be representing the Philippines in an international pageant will be Binibining Pilipinas-Grand International 2018 Eva Patalinjug.

Patalinjug is currently in Myanmar for the 6th edition of the Miss Grand International pageant which will be held on October 25.
