Megastar Sharon Cuneta dismissed the negative comments on her social media accounts from netizens who accused her of faking her friendship with Kris Aquino.
It all started when Cuneta posted a series of photos on her Instagram account showing a letter and a set of balloons she received from Aquino.
In the said letter, which was addressed to Cuneta and Senator Kiko Pangilinan, Aquino thanked the Megastar and her husband for the friendship and kindness they have shown her.
It can be recalled that Cuneta defended Aquino’s “small but important” role in the Hollywood film “Crazy Rich Asians”.
“Ate S, my forever gratitude is yours for the generous kindness and infinitely valuable insights you have shared with me. Thank you for taking me under your wing and giving me the protective shield of a loving Ate. You are special because your heart makes all those you allow inside feel they are home,” Aquino wrote to Cuneta.
While many thought that Aquino’s gesture was sweet and touching, there were also some netizens who think negatively.
Some even tagged their friendship as “Orocan” and “Tupperware” referring to brands producing plastic-made products.
Cuneta did not let the bashers’ comments pass and replied to them by saying, “Haters and bullies will be blocked.
“‘More love less hate?’ This is what your profile says. And yet you seem to encourage the opposite by implying plastic kami to each other?
“Please be kind. We haven’t done anything to you to deserve that.”
