LOOK: Jolo Revilla joins batch 2018 graduates

Filipino actor and politician Jolo Revilla took to Instagram to share how he was able overcome a hurdle in life by finishing college at the age of 30.

“Being a public servant, actor and a student all at the same time is a great challenge. Pero tulad ng marami sa inyo, I made it. Kapag ginusto, kahit mahirap, hindi lang kakayanin, mapagtatagumpayan pa!” writes Revilla on Instagram.

The Cavite vice governor took up Bachelor of Arts Major in Legal Studies under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program of Lyceum of the Philippines University.

In a separate post, Revilla urged his fellow graduates to help improve the accessibility to education in the country.

“Together with my fellow graduates, I’m taking a stand to serve our country by helping make education accessible to all. Lumang tugtugin man pero totoo, education is the only key to alleviate poverty,” he wrote.

Revilla then uploaded a photo of him holding his college diploma. He also thanked his parents and friends who have been with him throughout his journey in college.

“To my mom, accept my love and gratitude. To my dad, this is my advanced Father’s Day gift to you.

“To my friends and loved ones, along with people who helped me up the steps of the ladder to reach this moment, I humbly share this milestone which will always remind me that at the face of challenges, you believed that I can make it,” he said.

He also updated his Instagram Stories by uploading a video of him accepting his diploma with the caption, “Better late than never”.
