I am heartbroken about the news of Kate Spade. I have worn her clothes many, many times. They were colorful, bold, cheerful, and encouraged women to find the twinkly person inside them. You couldn’t walk into her boutiques and not smile. Rest In Peace, Kate.

I lost a close friend to suicide when I was 13. It crushed me. And sort defined my inner monologue for years. Hearing that Kate Spade’s daughter is that age, and knowing her pain is 1000 times what mine was, please be extra thoughtful about what you say and post. Be extra kind.
