The father of Filipino actress Ellen Adarna passed away due to apparent cardiac arrest.
According to a report of the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), a Cebu-based florist with the Instagram handle @floraltouchbychaty posted a photo on social media and sent condolences to the Adarna family.
“Our Condolences and Prayers to the Adarna’s Family. God grant you Eternal Peace Sir Alan Adarna,” the post’s caption read.
The said photo showed a woman standing in from of a coffin surrounded by flowers. The said photo has since been deleted by the Instagram user.
However, before the post was taken down, one netizen (@iamchristyg) asked if the person who died was Ellen’s father, to which the florist replied, “yes” with a sad emoticon.
PEP further explained that a source told them that Ellen’s father died of cardiac arrest and his wake is currently held at Cosmopolitan Memorial Chapels, Inc. in Mandaue, Cebu.
The 30-year-old actress has not yet released any statement regarding the death of her father.
The Adarna family is known for owning Queensland, a chain of motels with branches in Manila, Cebu, and Davao.
It can be recalled that Ellen and her boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz spent the holidays in Cebu to meet the former’s family.
