Did Korina Sanchez reply to Kris Aquino through cryptic IG post?

Korina Sanchez, host of ABS-CBN’s weekly lifestyle show Rated K, took to her social media to spread a message of positivity that got netizens thinking whether it was her response to Kris Aquino.

On Sunday’s episode of Rated K, one of its segments featured Aquino’s ex-husband James Yap, with his current wife Michela Cazzola and their child Michael James.

Neither Aquino nor her child with Yap, Bimby, was mentioned on the said segment, but the Queen of All Media did not like the fact that the program put Yap and his current family in the limelight.

After the airing of the episode, Aquino vented out her frustration on social media, saying that Yap’s feature on Rated K was a slap on her face.

She ranted about how she decided to support Mar Roxas, Sanchez’ husband, during the last presidential elections out of the request of her brother, former president Benigno Aquino III.

Aquino said that she accepted the bashing and criticisms she got for endorsing Roxas. That is why she is not okay with having her “deadbeat” ex-husband featured on the show hosted by Roxas’ wife.

Aquino ended her post by saying it is clear to her why president Rodrigo Duterte won the presidential elections.

Aquino has since apologized for ranting on social media.

(Please listen to the song.) I know I’ve unleashed a double edged sword. I know i’ve made enemies, and i’ve also found kindred spirits in MOTHERS who like me have felt that they have had ENOUGH & they had to take a stand & say I AM NOW FIGHTING BACK. I also know i have personal demons i need to exorcise because no matter what i still want to be someone my sons can be proud of… so i will collect my thoughts & try my best to forgive regardless of the fact no remorse has ever been shown. I apologize for including politics, but that is the unfortunate baggage & responsibility of my last name. But i will not delete any posts because my anger comes from the heart of a mother who has been unnecessarily stepped on by someone who has been blessed w/ a loving & devoted husband & does not know the hardship of having to go it alone (rewritten after some prayers)… I do sincerely apologize to my brother. And I apologize to President Duterte. And Mar, to you i am sorry. In the same way i would always wonder why i would be dragged into issues not of my doing- i was guilty of that tonight. I’ll be back after i have found my peace. Until then, to all those who still found it in their hearts to understand & embrace me & my sons- you have my eternal gratitude. #laban

After the issue exploded, Sanchez shared cryptic posts of positivity and kindness on her social media account. Though her posts weren’t addressed to someone specific, many netizens are speculating that it was the broadcast journalist’s way to give her two cents about the issue.

“#KorinaReinvented is about keeping in touch with our purpose and living our best life.
In this pursuit, what’s essential is to spread positivity, kindness, understanding and love. This is what the world needs. We’re not perfect, but we have to try,” Sanchez said on her post.

Life is like a merry-go-round. Remember to ride with the eyes of a child & stay happy! ? ?Korina
