Actress Ara Mina has revealed her opinion regarding the rumored split of her sister, Cristine Reyes, with her husband, Ali Khatibi.
A post in entertainment site Fashion Pulis has sparked public interest, hinting that Reyes and Khatibi might be having some domestic problems, as it is noticeable that the latter can rarely be seen on photos the actress posts on her social media account. Reyes’ last Instagram post with Khatibi was uploaded two months ago.
In the recent press conference of her new show “Araw Gabi”, Ara addressed the rumors involving her sister.
When asked whether the speculations are true or not, Ara Mina answered, “Nag-post lang ata siya ng pray for me, tapos nag-haka-haka na sila doon.”
It can be recalled that earlier this year, Reyes shared a cryptic post on her Instagram, wherein she was praying for her marriage with Khatibi.
Her post spurred speculations from netizens that her marriage with Khatibi is not in a good place.
Ara Mina neither confirmed nor denied the issue, but she simply said that it is normal for married couples to have misunderstandings.
She also added that Cristine is busy with her television and film projects.
“Sobrang busy kasi ngayon ni Cristine sa mga projects — ‘yung Abay Babes, tapos mayroon pa siya na parang action film, ang sabi niya nag-training daw siya, magpapakita siya ng abs, so ayun,” she said.
Ara Mina said that she has not directly asked her sister regarding the issue, but based on her observation, the couple seem to be in a good place.
“She’s okay naman, madalas kami magkasama. Hindi siya nagsasabi, very strong pa rin siya, at alam naman niya na anytime na she needs me, nandito lang ako,” she said.
Ara Mina will be starring on the upcoming daytime television drama series “Araw Gabi”, alongside JM de Guzman, Barbie Imperial, Jane Oineza, and RK Bagatsing.
