“Barcelona: A Love Untold” wins best picture at 65th FAMAS

Barcelona: A Love Untold” bagged the best picture award and three other awards at the 65th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS).

Aside from the Best Picture award, Barcelona also received Best Director for Olivia M. Lamasan, Best Production Design for Shari Marie Montiague, and Best Actor for Daniel Padilla.

The other top acting award was bagged by Angelica Panganiban for her lead role in the movie, “The Unmarried Wife.” The Unmarried Wife also received Best Screenplay for Vanessa Valdez.

“Ringgo: The Dog Shooter” also won two awards namely Best Supporting Actress for Liza Diño-Seguerra and Best Child Performer for Lance Lucido.

Arturo M. Padua Memorial Award: Ronald King Constantino
Dr. Jose Perez Memorial Award: Dolly Ann Carvajal
Outstanding Producer: Donna Sanchez

Originally called the Maria Clara Awards, FAMAS is considered as the highest award in the Filipino filmmaking industry. Established in 1951, it is also the country’s oldest film industry award giving body, and one of the oldest in Asia.
