The Filipino community in the UAE is set to gather on Sunday, June 7, for Kalayaan 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together culture, entertainment, and community activities in celebration of Philippine Independence Day.
The event will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Halls 1 and 2 of Dubai World Trade Centre and will be open to the public free of charge.
Expected to draw Filipino families, professionals, youth groups, entrepreneurs, creatives, and community leaders, the day-long gathering aims to highlight the many facets of Filipino culture and talent in the UAE.
Attendees can expect a mix of performances, interactive activities, and cultural showcases throughout the venue. Celebrity performances, community presentations, cosplay, esports activities, fashion shows, and games and competitions are among the attractions lined up for visitors.
A food village featuring Filipino favorites and various culinary offerings is also expected to become one of the event’s central gathering spaces, alongside art and pop culture exhibits that showcase Filipino creativity and interests acrossgenerations.

Community groups and performers from different sectors are also expected to take part in the celebration, reflecting the diversity of the Filipino community in the Emirates.
Beyond entertainment, the event is positioned as a space for connection and shared identity, where Filipinos from different backgrounds can come together to celebrate heritage, creativity, and community spirit.
Kalayaan celebrations have long served as annual gatherings for overseas Filipinos in the UAE, providing opportunities for cultural expression and community engagement while commemorating Philippine independence.
This year’s June 7 event in Dubai continues that tradition through a full day of activities centered on Filipino culture, participation, and talent.
