The Philippines’ bet to Miss Universe, Catriona Gray continues to an awe-inspiring spectacle on the run up to the 67th Miss Universe pageant taking place in a few hours this December 17, 2018 by 4:00 am, UAE time.
In a post on Instagram, Gray posted about ‘experimenting with new looks’ and on this post, she wore a gown designed by 2016 TFT Most Promising Fashion Designer of the Year Harvey Cenit!
Bringing out Gray’s inner ‘showgirl’
Cenit describes the gown as something that unveils Gray’s inner showgirl while maintaining an aura of elegance: “The dress is completely made out of crystals, cut beads, glass beads, folak tassels and tulle. The concept is to bring out the showgirl in her but still very elegant. Catriona captures the whole universe with her charm, adding more glitters unto it won’t hurt. :)”
2017 Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa will pass on the crown to her successor at the end of the event.
Gray is hoping to take home the Philippines’ fourth Miss Universe crown, following the footsteps of Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, and Pia Wurtzbach.
