Liza Soberano sends students into frenzy when she’s spotted riding jeepney, eating street food in UP

After her “What’s in the Box” challenge video went viral, Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano has already proven that she has a simple personality despite having one of the most beautiful faces in the entertainment industry.

She has proven this once again by riding a jeepney and eating street food with her on-screen partner Enrique Gil when they went to the University of the Philippines Diliman during their immersion for their new film.

Soberano said that she had fun riding the jeepney without getting noticed. She also said that she even had “Iskrambol”, which is the Filipino version of Slushy made with shaven ice and topped with marshmallows, powdered milk, and chocolate syrup, when she went around UP.

“Masaya rin sumakay ng jeep na hindi ako masyado nakikilala and kumain din kami ng iskrambol,” Soberano said in an interview with entertainmet website PEP.ph.

She added that the immersion helped her prepare for her role in their film since she was able to observe the students in UP.

“During our immersion in UP, kasi parang ang saya lang na balikan yung mga… kasi ako highschool [pero] ‘yun college parang feeling ko bumabalik ako sa school. I got to sit in one of their classes,” she said.

“Kasi ako very observant akong tao, so ang saya lang na andami kong pwedeng obserbahan doon na mga students and yung mga kilos nila and naenjoy ko din kausapin yung mga students and to hear their experiences at school, and their dreams and what they wish to be one day and yun,” Soberano added.

No photos of Soberano riding the jeepney and eating Iskrambol circulated online, but netizens still went crazy and took to social media to broadcast the sighting of Soberano in the said university.

Soberano and Gil are expected to star in a new movie directed by Antoinette Jadaone which will hit cinemas in 2019. The actress previously said that she will be working on this movie first before she will start filming her highly anticipated modern adaptation of “Darna”.
