PH’s bet in Miss International to wear Michael Cinco gown

Binibining Pilipinas International 2018 Maria Ahtisa Manalo will be raising the flag of the Philippines high as she competes in the Miss International beauty pageant tomorrow.

The 58th edition of the Miss International pageant with the theme “Cheer All Women” will take place on November 9 at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

A total of 77 contestants from different countries are all set to compete for the highly coveted crown making it the year with the most delegates throughout the pageant’s history. Kevin Lilliana from Indonesia will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Manalo has already flown to Japan on October 18 and she has been participating in several pre-pageant activities ever since she arrived in the said country.

She has also been one of the frontrunners and pageant news source “Missosology” has even included her in its list of top candidates.

Before she left for Japan, she gave some details about the looks she has prepared for the pageant.

“My national costume is inspired by Subanon tribe from Mindanao. It’s by Amir Sali and my evening gown is by Micheal Cinco but he told me not to share anything pero it would be bongga,” ABS-CBN News quoted the beauty queen as saying.

In case Manalo will win, she will be the seventh Miss International titleholder from the Philippines after Gemma Cruz (1964), Aurora Pijuan (1970), Melanie Marquez (1979), Precious Lara Quigaman (2005), Bea Santiago (2013) and Kylie Verzosa (2016).
