Toni Gonzaga shares learning from “Eat Bulaga” she still lives by

Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga might have come a long way in her showbiz career, but she never forgets to go back to her roots and humble beginnings.

Recently, she credited “Eat Bulaga”, GMA-7’s noontime show wherein she appeared as a mainstay host for three years, for giving her one important learning that she still applies to the way she works up to this day.

Toni appeared on her sister Alex Gonzaga’s most recent YouTube vlog wherein the two of them responded to mean comments they got from their online bashers.

The sisters received harsh criticisms that attacked their facial features, acting skills, and personality. But one particular netizen decided to criticize Alex for her way of hosting.

“Sorry I don’t like Alex Gonzaga and her hosting skills,” the netizen said.

Toni immediately came to her sister’s defense by saying, “Honestly, mas mabilis ang utak ni Alex sa akin, mas witty siya, at mas nakakatawa siya.”

At this point, Toni shared her biggest takeaway from Eat Bulaga.

“Natutunan ko dati sa ‘Eat Bulaga,’ ang hosting daw is presenting your personality and who you are to the world. It’s presenting who you are, with conviction na dini-deliver mo ‘yung what is asked of you, to tell your audience,” she said.

“Kung naiinis siya sa ‘yo, ibig sabihin, naiinis siya sa personality na pinapakita mo sa TV,” she continued as she addressed her sister.

That piece of advice must have been immensely helpful for Toni as she has worked on several hosting stints ever since she transferred to the Kapamilya network, including The Buzz, ASAP, Pinoy Big Brother, Pinoy Dream Academy, The Voice Philippines, and Pilipinas Got Talent among many others.
