Filipina actress Andi Eigenmann said that she is happy with her simple life in Baler, Aurora. After she took a hiatus from show business last year, Eigenmann said that she felt unhappy with being an actress, so she decided to leave for a while and take a break from the city life.
That was when she decided to move to Baler and start a new life there.
“Hindi po ako masaya dahil po I felt it’s about time to go and explore and find myself, and I found myself in the island, and I realized that this is where I want to be,” Eigenmann said during the premiere of her movie “The Maid in London” last July 3.
“And I realized that this is where I see my life. It’s my dream, but then naisip ko I don’t have to wait for so long, I don’t have to wait till I’m old to do this. Puwede ko ‘tong ibigay sa sarili ko ngayon,” she added.
In a separate interview with PEP, Eigenmann said that before she moved to the province, she sold all of her luxurious belongings, including her cars and branded clothing items.
She admitted that she found genuine happiness after giving up her expensive material things and focus on her own life.
Eigenmann added that she just needs to earn money that will be enough to provide for her daughter, Ellie, and that would already be enough for her.
“I don’t need all those unnecessary luho, kasi iyan ang mga materyal things na iyan, nawawala din naman iyan. Ang importante, masaya, like me and my daughter, we don’t need toys for her to be entertained.
“We have the beach as our playground, and there’s so much to do,” she said.
“I’m a 90’s kid, so I want to raise Ellie in a way na nakikita niya rin iyon or gano’n din ang pamumuhay niya, imbes na palaging sa cellphone,” she added.
