Bashers are still hurling insults towards singer Angeline Quinto who was accused of mocking fellow ASAP performer Sarah Geronimo after the latter’s unexpected breakdown while on tour.
The issue started when netizens accused Quinto and fellow singer Morissette Amon of mocking Geronimo and calling the Popstar Royalty “pabebe” due to crying on stage.
Quinto, however, denied the said rumors and challenged netizens to show evidences.
In a previous interview with ABS-CBN, Quinto burst into tears over malicious comments targeting her family.
One of which was a tweet by @EddieDhandsome who wished ill on Quinto’s mother.
“Hoi plastic, mamatay na daw nanay mo bago mag Mother’s Day. Kaya makaawa ka na sa kaplastikan mo,” the netizen wrote.
Quinto was greatly affected by the tweet to which she responded: “Hindi mo alam ang epekto nito sa akin. Sana ako na lang ang winish mong mamatay. Hindi ang Mama Ko. Walang kasalanan ang Nanay ko sayo. Sana makilala kita Eddie. Sana makapagharap tayo. Sana magpakita ka sa akin.”
Broadway superstar Lea Salonga quickly to the defense of Quinto and said that online bashers are cowards.
“One, ang punong walang bunga ay hindi binabato. Two, ang mga gumagawa ng ganoon ay duwag. Wala siyang tapang na magpakita sa iyo. Hanggang sa Twitter lang ang kanyang lakas loob. Three, mas maraming nagmamahal sa iyo keysa hindi. Magpakatatag lang,” Salonga wrote.
