Actress and TV host Anne Curtis drew attention online after responding to a netizen who criticized her upcoming film The Loved One for having too many English dialogues.
Curtis shared the official trailer of the romance film on her X account on Monday, January 19, inviting the public to watch the movie. “Para sa nagmamahal at kaya pa rin maghintay… YOUR ULTIMATE MOVIE DATE IS HERE,” she wrote.
While many users expressed excitement for the film, one netizen left a negative comment, writing, “Kakairita, English-English ang mga dialogue,” in a post that has since been deleted.
Curtis noticed the remark and replied, “‘Di ‘wag ka manood.” Her response quickly went viral, earning more than 10,000 likes and making her a trending topic on the platform.
Aside from Curtis, The Loved One also stars Jericho Rosales and Catriona Gray, marking Gray’s acting debut. The film also reunites Curtis and Rosales following their previous projects, the 2008 film Baler and the 2011 television series Green Rose.
