A post of a medical worker in the Medical City has gained the attention of netizens.
Medical frontliners have captured the attention of people as they face the risk of the country’s battle from COVID-19. The photo showed doctors and medical workers in protective gears as they begin their day with prayer.
Emergency Room nurse Steven Mari from the Medical City shared the photo, which has over 8,000 reactions and over 6, 000 shares less than a day after it was posted.
“Lord, sana matapos na ‘to,” Steven wrote. The Medical City is among the private hospitals that deal with the rise of COVID-19 cases in the country. 150 of its health personnel, including doctors, are now in quarantine after dealing with 18 coronavirus disease patients.
The hospital’s president and CEO Dr. Eugenio Ramos said the number increased, with 10 of the total placed in isolation just that day.
Medical workers are exempted from the enhanced community quarantine placed in the entire Luzon island.
There are now 307 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country, 19 fatalities and 13 have recovered from the virus.
