Filipino hairstylist Ricky Reyes maintained his opposition on same-sex marriage even though he is considered as a gay icon of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) community.
“Well, ang bakla ay bakla. Yun na yun, huwag na natin pahabain. Maski anong gawin mo, wala nang mangyayari sa bakla kundi bakla din,” Reyes said.
The beauty guru said that the gay community cannot impose their lifestyle and way of life to other people during his interview with Pep.ph at the Christmas celebration of Child Haus.
“Huwag na maghangad kung anu-ano. Hay, ipagpilitan pa ba sa tao ang buhay natin, e, ang nakaintindi lang naman sa atin ay tayu-tayo lang. Hindi nila naiintindihan kung ano ang ginagawa ng mga bakla, samantala tayo, makita lang, maiintindihan na. E, sa ibang tao, they will never understand that.” he added.
Reyes also said that he is now happy with his longtime partner and adopted children.
