Dubai Police arrested an African housemaid on charges of stealing her employer and fleeing, newspapers said.
Her female employer was at work when her daughter told her that the maid ran away carrying a plastic bag.
After hurrying back home, the woman found that the maid had opened the safe and stole Dh5,000, a gold bracelet worth around Dh700, a Smartphone and her passport.
Police arrested the maid a few hours after she fled her employers and the prosecutor charged her of theft and absconding from her employers.
