Cebuanos and even local and foreign tourists can now experience and witness how sea creatures live under the sea without the need to dive and get wet.
Dubbed as the ‘largest’ oceanarium in the Philippines, Cebu Ocean Park opened its doors to the public in a soft opening last Aug. 24.
Located just beside SM Seaside City mall in the South Road Properties (SRP) in Cebu City, the oceanarium sits on a 1.5-hectare area.
According to the information provided on its website, the oceanarium was boasts of the deepest aquarium with seven-meter water depth and with a volume of 3,500 cubic meters of seawater.
Visitors can also marvel at the 360-degree viewing tunnel with a mermaid show at the Deep Tank Lagoon.
This is the first and only marine theme park in the Visayas. The same team that manages the theme park also brought Manila Ocean Park in 2008.
“To date, it is the largest and only world-class marine animal-themed complex to exist in the Philippines,” information published on their website read.
Currently, the theme park offers other attraction such as multi-animal shows, crocodile cage, creepy critters, Fish spa, Jungle Trek, bird feeding, and stingray interaction.
If you’d like an under the sea theme for your birthday or wedding venue, they also offer function rooms and other areas for their events.
