Two road accidents occurred in Abu Dhabi yesterday resulting in a total of 14 injuries comprised of nine children including students, three women including the school bus supervisor as well as two men who suffered slight and moderate injuries.
The first accident saw a collision of a vehicle and a school bus that took place around Al Raha Beach, causing moderate to light injuries of three Emirati kids, Arab woman and an Asian man.
On the other hand, the second accident which occurred in Al Reem Island caused serious injuries for an Asian girl, while another Asian woman suffered from moderate injuries. The accident also caused five light injuries of children, man and woman of different nationalities.
Both accidents were reported to the concerned authorities who then immediately rushed to escort injured people to the hospital.
Brigadier General Mohammad Dahi Al-Humiri, Director of Traffic and Patrol Department of Abu Dhabi Police, called on the drivers to stay alert, adhere to safe driving, and ensure that they always pay attention to road surprises, stating that injured people are in good conditions and getting proper treatment.
