Veteran actor Eddie Garcia has passed away. In a medical bulletin posted by Makati Medical Center, Garcia has died at 4:55 in the afternoon.
He was 90 years old.
Garcia suffered from severe neck fracture after an incident during a shoot in his upcoming teleserye.
Garcia had been in the industry for more than seven decades. He recently won a Best Actor award at the 42nd Gawad ng Urian.
“Our family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all those who have expressed concerns and extended prayers,” the family said in one of their previous statements.
The family said that at 90, Garcia is still doing the thing he loved most, acting.
