A Filipina who ordered a Dh 25 meal from Chicking now has the opportunity to fly home for free after winning at Chicking’s grand raffle draw.
Sheree Ann Barro, who has been living and working in the UAE for more than six years was one of the two winners of Chicking’s promo which had a grand prize of a roundtrip ticket to the Philippines. Barro claimed her prize at Chicking’s Al Rigga branch last Saturday, January 13, in the presence of Chicking’s Chairman and Managing Director A.K. Mansoor together with Chicking’s Director of Operations, Maqbool Modi.
Barro, who hails from General Santos City, said that the timing of her win couldn’t be any better as her child will be graduating this March. “Thank you so much, Chicking, for this opportunity. Now I can fly home to meet my family and attend the graduation of my kid,” she said.
Barro recalls that she first only wanted to order a Dh 20 meal at the Chicking’s Al Khail branch but was persuaded to join in the raffle draw by one of the staff for an additional Dh 5. The raffle draw was part of Chicking’s Winter Deals promotion that featured an all-in Pinoy-inspired meal comprised of two pieces of chicken, gravy, spaghetti, rice, fries, and drinks.
The other OFW who won the prize was Steven Altamia, who unfortunately could not claim his award during the ceremonies.
