Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Bea Millan-Windorski addressed critics questioning her Filipino identity following her victory at Miss Universe Philippines 2026.
Speaking during a brand event, Bea said she chooses not to focus on negative comments and instead prioritizes the responsibilities that come with the crown.
“I don’t want to listen to the bashers because what’s most important is the work that has to be done,” Bea said in an interview aired on Balitanghali.
“For me, Miss Universe Philippines carries a huge responsibility,” she added.
The beauty queen has faced online criticism from some social media users questioning her being Filipino following her coronation.
Despite this, Bea said she remains focused on her advocacies, including support for overseas Filipino workers, environmental causes, and the LGBTQIA+ community.
She also emphasized her commitment to training and preparations for the Miss Universe 2026 pageant set to be held in Puerto Rico.
Bea said she is determined to bring home the Philippines’ fifth Miss Universe crown.
The newly crowned queen attended the event alongside several fellow beauty queens and personalities from the pageant industry.
