Two-year-old Jordanian boy dies in road accident in Ajman

A two-year-old boy from Jordan has died after he was hit by a car in Ajman in the evening of March 26, Sunday.

The victim was identified as Rakan Abdullah Ezzat. He walked out of the house in the Al Nuaimiah area to follow his father when he was hit by a passing vehicle, just moments before Iftar time.

The boy sustained serious head injuries and was in critical condition in the hospital for three days before passing away on Wednesday, March 29.

Diana Mohamed, the boy’s mother, posted the news on her Instagram account and asked followers to pray for her son Rakan.

Rakan was the youngest son after two girls. Their mother, Diana, is of Egyptian descent and their father, Abdullah Ezzat, is a Jordanian who works as an engineer.

Hundreds of people have sent their condolences and offered their prayers for the family as the news of Rakan’s death has quickly circulated the Internet.
