A vice mayor of a municipality in Rizal who was diagnosed with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) died on Tuesday, March 31.
Jolet delos Santos, vice mayor of Jala-jala town, Rizal, tested positive for the virus last March 25.
The son of the vice mayor confirmed his death through Facebook post.
“Wala pong salita ang katumbas kung gaano kasakit at kahirap na hinde sya makita hanggang sa mga huling sandali ng kanyang buhay. Ito po ay sa kadahilanan ang personal niyang hiling na ayaw nyang malagay ang kanyang pamilya sa panganib,” Jon delis Santos wrote.
In his previous post dated March 22, he said that his father was very sick but in stable condition already.
