WATCH: 100 OFWs, Pinoy tourists stranded in Clark airport

Around 100 Filipinos are stranded at the international airport in Clark, Pampanga since the government declared a lockdown in Metro Manila and Luzon island.
 
Genilyn “Inday” Estorgio, a caregiver in Barcelona, Spain, told the Filipino Times that she arrived in Diosdado Macapagal International Airport in Clark Sunday afternoon for a supposedly one-month vacation to her hometown in Buenavista, Bohol.

Upon learning about flight suspension in and out of Metro Manila, her employer rebooked her flight so she can arrive in Clark inside of Manila. Thinking she can book her flight from Clark to Cebu City.  
 
However, her Cebu Pacific flight from Clark to Cebu City has been cancelled yesterday morning. And in the evening, all domestic flights in and out of Clark were likewise cancelled because of the quarantine area has been widened to the entire Luzon.

“Marami kami rito stranded sa Clark, siguro more than 100 ang nagpalista na. Kahapon, 10am pinapunta kami sa Clark Airbase. Sinabihan kami magrescue daw C-130 sa min.  Marami kami pumunta dun. Pagdating namin dun di kami inasikaso ng militar. Hanggang madaling araw nandun kami. Kagabi, sa ilalim puno ng mangga natulog kami. Ang baho! Ang daming lamok! May mga kasama pa naman kaming senior citizen,” she narrated.
 
She said she hopes that the government consider that OFWs and other Filipino travellers in transit like her be allowed to fly.
 
She said every needs every day of her vacation to be with her three children, aged 16, 13 and 10, because she need to return to Spain by April 18.
