Manila Mayor Isko Moreno is placing himself in self quarantine after travelling to London for an official trip.
Moreno said that it’s his move to prevent possible spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
“I will submit myself to self-quarantine. I will stay in City Hall,” Moreno said in a meeting with city hall officials on Wednesday evening.
Immediate after landing from London, Domagoso inspected 135 misting machines at the city hall. As seen on his Facebook page, he was with vice mayor Honey Lacuna.
Moreno came from a country with over 300 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
Self-quarantine is recommended by health authorities who came from countries with confirmed cases of the virus.
Moreno will stay in a secured office in Manila City Hall, according to a Rappler report.
He will be limiting his interaction with city hall officials.
