LOOK: Philippines approves Php 187 billion Manila Bay Bridge

The National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) approved a major infrastructure project that will traverse the Manila Bay.
The agency approved the ambitious 32.1-kilometer bridge that will reduce travel time between the provinces of Cavite and Bataan to 3 to 6 hours.
The big-ticket project which has a price tag of whopping Php 187 billion pesos is under the ‘Build, Build, Build’ program, Auto Industriya reported.
The Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge (BCIB) project will start at Naic, Cavite, pass through Corregidor Island, and will have its terminus at Mariveles, Bataan.
The project will feature a two-long span bridges, viaducts, a total of four lanes (two lanes per direction), a toll plaza, turnaround facilities, as well as a special span bridge near the Cavite coast.
Once finished, it is expected to decongest traffic in North Luzon Expressway.
The project is currently under feasibility study of Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
