The death toll from the 2019 novel coronavirus acute respiratory disease (2019-nCoV ARD) has surged to 492, reported Global Times.
Hubei province reported 3,156 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus bringing the total number of infected in the province to 16,678.
Around 65 fatalities were recorded in Hubei, the epicenter of the outbreak that has spiraled into a global emergency.
The total number of confirmed cases worldwide climbed to 23,865.
