Japan reports 10 people on cruise ship tested positive for nCoV

Japan confirmed Wednesday that at least 10 passengers of a cruise ship tested positive from novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV ARD).
Japan quarantined the cruise ship carrying 3,711 people after a former passenger was diagnosed with 2019-nCoV ARD in Hong Kong, reported AFP.
Quarantine officers were deployed in the ship, which docked at Yokohama Bay, to examine all 2,666 passengers and 1,045 crew.
Health Minister Katsunobu Kato said that specimens from more than 273 people were collected.
“From around 7:30 am (2230 GMT Tuesday), we had them (the 10 who tested positive) get off the vessel, and with cooperation with the coastguard we are sending them to medical organizations,” he said.
Kato said the 10 infected people will be transported to a medical facility while the remaining 3,700 passengers will be quarantined on board the Diamond Princess ship for 14 days.
