The Philippine passport gained up a spot higher based on a London-firm that tracks the number of countries and cities a passport holder can visit with a prior visa.
According to the 2020 Henley Passport Index survey, the country’s passport notched the 76th spot in the international position.
Filipinos can to travel to 67 countries visa-free, as per the survey released on Tuesday.
Although the Philippine passport gained up in the ranking, it was still far from other Asian countries like Japan that claimed the title for the world’s most powerful passport for three years in a row. Its citizens can visit 191 hassle-free destination.
Other Southeast Asian countries managed to progress to higher spots like Singapore (2nd), Malaysia (13th), Brunei (23rd), Thailand (65th) and Indonesia (72nd).
