The UP Fighting Maroons athlete Ricci Rivero has admitted some fresh revelations upon receiving indecent proposals.
He clarified that he never got to a point where he’s been involved in a relationship with a gay just to finance his luxuries.
“May mga nagsabi na rin sa akin ng ganyan. Kung ano raw ang gusto ko ibibigay nila, but then, as long as kaya pa naman po why do I have to ask for help? Hindi, eh,” he said to PEP.ph.
“… sobrang dami ko talagang friends na nasa part ng LGBT and it’s not a big deal talaga. Sila kasi yung sumusuporta din naman at nagpapa-ingay talaga especially sa iba’t-ibang industry. Yeah, kailangan you have to deal with them also,” Rivero added.
For now, the 21-year-old athlete is focused on his basketball career.
“Not my priority po talaga ang magka-girlfriend eh. But if ever, simple lang naman ang gusto ko sa babae – yung God-fearing and family-oriented. It doesn’t matter din kung showbiz siya or non-showbiz,” he said.
Rivero also played for La Salle Green Archers of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) for the first two years in his collegiate basketball stint.
