A rare celestial phenomenon is set to happen in UAE in December– the first time since 1847.
UAE residents will get the chance to see an annular eclipse of the sun which will occur on December 26, 2019.
The news about this once-in-a-lifetime event was reported by Al Khaleej and the eclipse will be visible across UAE.
The report said the annular eclipse will start at 7am.
A solar eclipse happens when a portion of the Earth is blocked by the moon which eventually block sunlight.
The celestial phenomenon happens when the sun, moon and earth are aligned.
Annular eclipses happen when the apparent size of the moon is smaller than the sun, making the sun appear to be a very bright ring.
