Senator Manny Pacquiao is set to play the role of revolutionary General Miguel Malvar on the big screen.
The senator’s team has released a poster in its official Instagram account, which has been doing the rounds on social media and eliciting varying reactions.
Pacquiao was in a full beard and in a rayadillo-style uniform. The production company also promises that it will be the biggest ever produced film in history.
The film will be directed by Jose Kaka Balagtas.
General Miguel Malvar was a Filipino war leader who led a group of revolutionaries during the Spanish and American period.
Some historians considered him as one of the unofficial presidents of the Philippines at that time. He died of liver cancer. (TN)
