The Armed Forces of the Philippines has confirmed that another cadet of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) was confined after sustaining injuries from a suspected hazing incident.
This comes in the wake of the death of Cadet 4th class Darwin Dormitorio last week.
AFP said that the cadet was sent to the V. Luna General Hospital in Quezon City due to “signs of maltreatment.”
Two more PMA cadets were reportedly hospitalized due to hazing. They were brought to V.Luna Hospital and later on transferred to St. Luke’s Global City.
Dormitorio’s death sparked anew the controversial practice of hazing among organizations.
PMA Chief Ronnie Evangelista quit his post after his failure to ensure the safety of PMA cadets.
