A brave 10-year-old girl fought back against an Arab man who tried to molest her inside a lift in a Dubai building where she lives.
The girl had politely replied to the man when he asked her name but refused to tell him in which apartment she lives.
She was in a grocery near the building in Mirdiff area when the man made advances towards her but she later ignored him and headed back home.
As she entered the lift and tried to close the door, the man suddenly barged in and touched her but she pushed him away.
“He then tried to kiss her and started to pull her out of the lift… but she kicked him and clung to the door… she then screamed, forcing him to run away,” the official Arabic language daily Emarat Al Youm said.
Her father identified the man after seeing the security camera film and reported him to the police who launched a search campaign to find him, the paper said.
