Manila Mayor Isko Moreno has set the record straight when it comes to his 2022 plans.
Moreno has been on the headlines for his clean up efforts in Manila, personalities making appointments to meet him and even President Rodrigo Duterte taking notice of his political will.
“It is not in my radar. To entertain these thoughts also gives uncertainty in our direction. I think I would rather focus, use all my available energy and some simple concept of mind sa lungsod ng Maynila,” Moreno said.
He explained why he kept on attending forums and business gatherings. Moreno explained that he wants to ‘market’ Manila.
“I’m happy and honored to speak before any organization. If I can market the City of Manila, why not?” Moreno said.
Moreno ran in the 2016 senatorial race but failed to make it to the Magic 12.
For now, Moreno hinted that he may be ‘renewing’ his contract with Manila which means that he could seek for a reelection.
