Dubai Taxi company returns 70% of lost items to customers

The Dubai Taxi Corp. (DTC) has shared that the number of lost items belonging to their customers have reached 7,048 in the first half of 2019. Among these lost items were personal effects, electronic devices, documents and passports, gold bullions, cheques and amounts of money.

Dr. Yousef Al Ali, DTC executive director said some 5,220 lost items (70% of the total) were returned to their owners, either from reports to the customer service centers or taxi drivers.

The rest of lost items were given to authorities like Dubai Police and Airports since they’ll be the first to know in case of any lost item reports.

“We continue our limitless efforts to return all belongings found to their owners in a record time as it’s part of our duty.” Added Yousef Al Ali.

The DTC has provided several means for taxi users to report their losses: one, by visiting the customer happiness center at the main building of the corporation in Al Muhaisna; two, by calling the Call Center 8009090 or, three, by contacting ask.rta.ae.

Meantime, Ali called on passengers to watch their belongings and not to hesitate to report in case of loss.

He also said that the company’s control center is equipped with the latest smart technologies to monitor the transport service, in terms of performance of drivers and quality of service, and dealing with emergencies, as well as monitoring any belongings of customers.

He added: “Achieving the Roads & Transport Authority’s (RTA) vision, integrity and honesty are among the ethics of Dubai Taxi Corporation, as the top priority is the happiness of people.”
